For the fourth chapter of her 2026 music capsule series, Reba McEntire picked up the phone with Ring Ring - EP, released July 24 via MCA. Inspired by the many ways a telephone call can change a story, the collection revisited a familiar thread in McEntire’s catalog through songs about missed calls, long-distance love, romantic uncertainty, and waiting to hear from someone. At the center was the newly recorded “Ring Ring,” written by Kellie Pickler, Bob DiPiero, and Karyn Rochelle and produced by Dave Cobb.

Ring Ring reached across McEntire’s 50-year recording career, bringing the new title track together with “It’s Your Call,” “Long Distance Lover,” “She’s Callin’ It Love,” and the fan favorite “Why Haven’t I Heard From You.” Although recorded decades apart, the five songs shared a playful connection through their telephone theme while demonstrating the humor, heartache, and personality McEntire had brought to her storytelling throughout her career.

The release also set the stage for The Reinvention of Reba, a companion playlist released August 3 that shifted the spotlight to McEntire’s continued artistic evolution. Rather than remaining tied to one sound or era, the playlist highlighted how she had embraced new influences, more mature perspectives, and changing musical landscapes while maintaining the distinctive voice and storytelling that had made her a country music mainstay.
