To be honest with you - this release is a bit of a mess.
This release was originally on the schedule around the time of the Room To Breathe album. It never came out because of its release date, which would have been too close to Greatest Hits Volume III - I’m A Survivor just being released.
Since this cover photo was from the Spring 2006 Reba Wear photoshoot, it is unknown what photos or track listing would have been used at that time - if any planning was that far along.
This 2007 issue was released a little weirdly, so the dates below are a bit sketchy.

Universal Music Enterprises' 20th Century Masters: The Millennium Collection is the best-selling single-artist compilation series in music history, with over 38 million copies sold as of February 2007. Reba McEntire’s Best Of/20th Century Masters was originally scheduled for release on October 10, 2006, in a standard Jewel Case version. However, it was delayed to May 13, 2007, to accommodate the release of an eco-friendly "ECOPAK" version, with downloadable artwork available through the Universal Music Enterprises' "I Love That Song" website. The ECOPAK packaging is entirely recyclable. There are two versions of the ECOPAK packaging; one has a styrofoam-like place that holds the CD, and the other is recycled paperboard.
After the ECOPAK versions launched in the U.S., a Jewel Case version was also released under both a new catalog number and the same catalog number as the ECOPAK editions. The disc on the Jewel Case has the misspelling corrected but lists the same catalog number as the ECOPAK.
This release is believed to be one of the final installments of the 20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection series before it was rebranded as 10 Great Songs/20th Century Masters - The Millennium Collection. This new series repackaged content from EMI’s 10 Great Songs catalog. A brief revival occurred between 2014 and 2015 under the Best Of/20th Century Masters branding, featuring artists from the Capitol Christian Music Group.
Reba personally selected the tracks for this release from both her Polygram Mercury and MCA Nashville catalogs. It was one of her final projects with the label before her move to The Valory Music Co.

If I Fell - I was asked to perform on a TV Show in London called "Stars Sing the Beatles". Growing up in Oklahoma I performed with "The Singing McEntire's," which included my brother, sister and me. Harmony was a huge part of our sound. I chose "If I Fell" not only because of the great harmonies but also because it was always one of our favorite Beatles' songs. It is also the first Beatles' song I have ever recorded.
I'll Be - We were through recording the next CD when Diane Warren sent me "I'll Be". I had already thought, "Man, this will be great for the next CD!" But when I played it for Narvel, he flipped! He insisted on Tony Brown and I going back in, recording the song and putting it on this CD. When someone feels that strong about a song, I go with it! I'm sure glad I did because it has touched so many hearts, mine included.
What If - "What If" was also written by Dianne Warren and was recorded for the Salvation Army. I debuted the song on Thanksgiving Day at the Dallas Cowboys Football game during their haif time show. There were 65,000 fans in the stadium and an international television audience of over 100 million. What a thrill to sing such a beautiful song and help people out at the same time!
On My Own - When you get the chance to sing with Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood and Linda Davis you better have a powerful song to sing! That's when we found "On My Own". Not only was recording and singing it live a blast, but filming the video was the most fun! Martina brought her 3-year old daughter, Delaney, to the set and we had the best time playing with her. I think we did more visiting than we did singing.
Five Hundred Miles Away From Home - When I decided to do an album of songs from the past that had inspired me, one of the first songs I chose was "Five Hundred Miles". I have loved that song for many years. It still chokes me up each night when I sing it on stage. I've been there - in a hotel room 500 miles away from home so sick I could hardly stand it. I'd cal home, talk to Mama and hear my brother and sisters laughing in the background, having fun filled family time. I'd hang up the phone and cry myself to sleep.
