In mid-April 2026, Reba announced that she was introducing a new music release strategy centered around monthly “music capsules,” each combining newly recorded material with curated songs from across her catalog. The first installment, One Night in Tulsa, was scheduled for release on April 17, 2026, via MCA Records. The project focused on themes tied to McEntire’s Oklahoma roots, blending nostalgic selections with a fresh title track that signaled a continued evolution of her sound while honoring her legacy.

Ahead of the release, McEntire previewed the capsule during a live performance at Reba's Place, where she debuted the new song “One Night in Tulsa.” Written by Neal Coty, Kylie Frey, and Thom McHugh, the track marked a stylistic return to the emotional country ballads of the 1990s that helped define her career. The capsule also included songs such as “Tulsa Time” and “Oklahoma Swing,” reinforcing the regional theme and showcasing the breadth of her catalog.
